Southern California’s Premier Scale event is hosted this year by the San Fernando Valley R/C Flyers, one of California’s oldest and most active clubs.
The home of the Valley Flyers is the outstanding Apollo XI field in Van Nuys, CA. The contest site includes a beautiful paved 600’ runway, paved taxi-ways, large pit area with work tables and sun shades, convenient parking, overnight dry camping and plenty of nearby restaurants, hotels and other attractions.
Expect to see some of the finest scale model planes anywhere. Everything from WWI, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War civilian planes too many to list. Multi engines, biplanes and tri-planes, all in competition for the title of the District X Scale Champion.
The Valley Flyers host an excellent, friendly and well-run contest. The out of town pilots and families are always very impressed with our flying site.
